Standards of Behaviour

(Rules and Regulations)

  1. All students are expected to conduct themselves as disciples of Jesus. Any misunderstandings should be settled in a friendly way, and matters which cannot be so settled should be referred through the proctors to the faculty.
  2. Students are expected to keep their quarters neat and clean. The faculty expects the co-operation of every student in maintaining the sanitation and cleanliness of the seminary campus. Students are not permitted to keep chickens or any other animal in their quarters on the campus.
  3. Each student is expected to report to the principal through the proctor if he or she has guests for more than two nights. No student may keep any guest or relative in his quarter for more than one week without special permission from the faculty.
  4. All students are expected to attend all classes and chapel services regularly, except in cases of emergency or unless prevented by illness. Likewise, the wives of students are expected to attend classes regularly. Students and their wives may not be absent themselves without the written permission of the principal or the director of the dispensary. Students are required to obtain prior permission from the principal to be absent from Gujranwala or from the campus overnight or on weekends.

    All such students are expected to return by 6 p.m. Monday. Those engaged in regular field work do not need to get leave if they record their times of field work in the office at the start of each term.
  5. Smoking by students in public is prohibited on the campus.
  6. Stealing, fighting, sexual misconduct, drug abuse, cheating and lying are considered serious offences. Any student found using unfair means in an examination will be liable to suspension from the seminary for at least a year.
  7. Student who do not come up to the academic standards required will be expected to leave the seminary.
  8. Quarters, including both hostels, must be vacated upon completion of training.
